The Secretariat of the PCK reports that on 12 February 2026, in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Professor M. Burkitbayev, a member of the Pugwash Committee of Kazakhstan under KazNANS (Kazakhstan National Academy of Natural Sciences) — Chairman of the Kazakhstan Chemical Society named after B. Beremzhanov and National Representative of Kazakhstan to the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) - took part in the work of the international seminar-meeting “Europe–Central Asia: training personnel competitive in the international labor market”.
The seminar was opened with a welcoming address by K. Sharipov, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan.
Professor M. Burkitbayev, Vice-President of the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education, delivered a plenary report: “The European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education and the EUR-ACE quality label as a tool for improving the quality of engineering education and mobility in Europe” (“ENAEE and the EUR-ACE® Label. A European Policy Instrument for Quality and Mobility in Engineering Education”).
