Addressing the participants of the Round Table, Akim of East Kazakhstan region, Ermek Kosherbaev noted
«The opinions of scientists today are of great importance and the role of the “Nuclear Society of Kazakhstan” is great. Our country has every opportunity to become one of the leading states in the field of nuclear physics. We have a nuclear reactor, atom, materials science reactors. All this attracts large investments and increases the level of development of the country. The main thing is that there is an opportunity to connect with practice. The National Nuclear Center operates in the neighboring Abay region, where two operating research reactors are located. All this strengthens our competencies; we can become one of the centers for the development of nuclear physics. World science is betting on the development of nuclear energy. And Kazakhstan, as scientists have noted, is no exception.».
