The PCK Secretariat reports that on 6 January 2026 the website abaidan.kz published the material “Nuclear power and nuclear technologies are a strategic foundation of Kazakhstan’s technological development”, which presents the position of Professor E. Batyrbekov - Director General of RSE “NNC RK”, Academician of NAS RK, and Deputy Chair of the PCK under KazNANS.
The publication emphasizes that, amid accelerated digital transformation and the development of artificial intelligence, digital services, and data centers, the importance of a reliable, stable, and environmentally clean energy base is increasing. Particular attention is given to the role of nuclear power and nuclear technologies as factors of energy security, technological sovereignty, and sustainable development. The material also notes the contribution of the NNC RK to the development of nuclear science, international cooperation, as well as to ensuring nuclear and radiation safety and providing scientific and technical support to Kazakhstan’s nuclear sector.
