Annual training courses on readiness to nuclear and radiation emergencies

From January 21 to 25, 2019, National Nuclear Center of RK hosted seventh training course on readiness for nuclear and radiation accidents. 
 

The course was attended by experts from Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA), together with instructors from NNC RK. There were 12 trainees. Total of 72 employees of the National Nuclear Center were trained for the recent seven years.


Target of the training course is specialists who are involved in activity that directly or indirectly relates to decision-making and prevention of accidents’ negative consequences to public and environment, and restoring control over emergency. 


One-week course provided theoretic knowledge, practical exercises and tours to the laboratories of the Institute of radiation safety and ecology.
