The KPC Secretariat informs that the Second Asian Carbon Conference - Asian Carbon 2026 / The Second AACG Carbon Symposium was held on 22–25 April 2026 in Almaty. The event brought together scientists and specialists from Kazakhstan, China, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Türkiye, Taiwan, and other countries.
PhD Marat Baipakov, a member of the PCK under KazNANS, actively participated in the preparation and organization of the conference.
Marat Baipakov served as Chairperson of a scientific session and presented an expert report with a published paper entitled “Utilization of carbon materials and their derivatives in nuclear power engineering and nuclear fuel”.
The study focuses on the application of carbon materials and their derivatives in nuclear power engineering and nuclear fuel. Special attention is given to the prospects for using innovative carbon composites to improve radiation resistance, reliability, and safety of reactor technologies, including Generation IV reactors and small modular reactors.
