International Discussion on Artificial Intelligence in Science and Public Life

The PCK Secretariat informs that an international discussion entitled “Artificial Intelligence in Science and Public Life” was held in a hybrid format on 25 April 2026. The event brought together experts from Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, India, China, the European Union, and other countries.

PCK member, PhD M.K. Baipakov, took part in the representative international discussion as an expert in cybersecurity and nuclear fuel management.

In his remarks, he focused on critical aspects of information security in the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies, as well as on potential risks to strategic infrastructure. Particular attention was paid to the need for the responsible and safe use of AI in scientific, technological, and managerial activities.

The discussion addressed the application of artificial intelligence in science, education, business, media, the humanitarian sphere, the preservation of cultural and natural heritage, and the development of international scientific cooperation.

Following the meeting, the participants supported the initiative to develop the declaration “Artificial Intelligence for the Benefit of Society” and to create an international virtual showcase of AI solutions for science. These initiatives are aimed at strengthening scientific cooperation, sharing best practices, and identifying solutions to pressing global security challenges.
